The Water Department is governed by six elected officials that comprise the Board of Water Commissioners.
The Southington Water Department is not governed by the Town of Southington, nor is it subsidized by taxpayer dollars.
One of the most important responsibilities of the Commissioners' is to work with the Department staff to ensure that the Town has high quality drinking water.
The Commissioners' also propose and plan infrastructure improvements that will ensure the Town has adequate, safe drinking water well into the future.
