The Southington Board of Water Commissioners approved the construction of a new two million gallon concrete water storage tank to replace two existing 70 year old steel tanks as part of an effort to improve the Department's infrastructure to meet the water demands of Southington residents. The new tank will enhance water quality by using a state of the art mixing system.
The project will begin in the Spring of 2019 with the clearing of land and trees and will quickly move into the construction phase. Construction will also include erecting a 110' communication tower which will improve the Department's and the Town's communication capabilities. Superintendent Casarella urges residents that have questions to please contact him at the Department.
