Long Term Meter on a Hydrant

The Department offers contractors the use of a 1 1/2" meter which can be set on a fire hydrant within their construction site.  A deposit of $2,500.00 will be required prior to the meter set. The meter will be removed when temperatures fall below freezing. At such time, consumption and fees will be calculated and a bill will be generated against the deposit.  A bill or a refund will be issued.  If the hydrant is needed the following year, a new deposit will be required.  The meter and hydrant location must be approved by the Water Department.
